DDs, my poor DS (4 years old) and myself just returned from a Thrift Store American Girl Hunt and... NOTHING!!! Not a doll, not a piece of furniture, not a book, not a dress, not even a hat! 7 thrift stores, 6 hours!! AHHHHHHHHH! My DH just laughed! We had a good time though! Bought lots of other chapter books for the girls, ten cents! Who ever heard of that! You ladies on here who have found things are so lucky! We will try agian another day.

Well at least you found some great books! We have a library of books at our house, and most all of them cost 10-25 cents! I LOVE thrift stores for books!

Same here! I went out garage sale hunting too. NOTHING. Since my city only has 3 thrift stores, I called first---"zippo"

I checked out 4 stores in the neighboring city, no-one had anything!

Kimmy (GD) and I just got back but only went to 2 of them and I'm guessing since we got a late start we might of missed something, yet once again I overheard the 2 employees talking about some toys they had stached in the back for another employee who worked there...could it be AG"s? Just might because this was the same one I found Bitty Baby at earlier this week and the lady at the cash register said hey that's one of those American Girl doll how did that hit the floor.

Yet let me tell you I did find the Bitty Baby bear today there!!! Guess they missed it too! So now with the find of Bitty Baby with the pink sleeper with a new body and older head, I got it's bear in great shape! Kimmy is just so happy since she has the whole set!

At one store they were a lot of people dropping off stuff. So maybe a trip the first thing Monday morning would be good.

I went to AG then to TS - I actually did pretty good - Used my store credit and then at a "Junk" Shop didn't find anything AG, but found out she does get it in often and then Found a Brand new Ethan Allen Chair for $49.50 - That puppy was MINE!

I love thrift store shopping, but I have never found anything AG. Here in Honduras, I am in all my glory (with TS anyway). There are tons of stores here that sell used clothing and other stuff from the States. Today I brought a sheet set for $6, and pants, a shirt, and a shirt for $11. I doubt I will find any AG, but who knows? I actually did have an AG sighting last week. I was in the owner of the school's house and his daughters had Kaya and Josefina. They were in deplorable condition! I've never seen dolls in such bad condition before!

I'm going to go to 1 or 2 tomorrow since the one I stopped at yesterday they were quite a few people dropping off bags. It was later in the day I got there so I'm sure it wasn't placed out on the floor.

And hey if Christmas didn't work with getting rid of the old toys, spring cleaning is going to start soon...right!
